Safety

Safety first! Just like ma always said!

Don't laugh, safety is no joke. In this little 450 year old city, things are not so simple as they once were before Henry Flagler decided to build a vacation palace right in the middle of town. Nearly 20,000 vehicles make the trip over the beautiful Bridge of Lions each day. It is important to have a few pieces of key gear.

  1. Light colored clothing - check
  2. Flashing red light on back and solid white light on front - check
  3. Properly inflated tires, you don't want to get stuck on the bridge with a flat! - check
  4. Helmet - check
  5. Lock - check

Fun can be had by adding a basket to that bike of yours. By adding great cubic footage you can haul some fresh croissants from The French Bakery or even spirits from the Distillery. While you are here in the Oldest City, you may find yourself looking to head to the beach, having a handy basket will keep you calm and cool as a cucumber instead of lugging a backpack while you ride.

All of the above can be found at one of our many bicycle shops, rental locations, and a few boutiques in town. More info under "Read Me."
